Okay, let’s talk about something EVERY new teacher struggles with:

That nagging voice in your head that whispers…
"Am I even qualified to do this?"

Here’s the good news: You don’t have to know everything to be an incredible teacher.

In fact, some of the best teachers aren’t the ones who know it all! They’re the ones who stay curious, adapt, and focus on making an impact.

So if you (or a teacher you mentor) ever feel like an imposter, here’s how to shake that feeling:

1) 🔥 Teach What You Know, Own What You Don’t

You don’t need to be a walking encyclopedia of dance! Start with what you’re great at, and if a student asks something you’re unsure about? Say, “Great question! Let’s figure it out together.” That’s leadership.

2) 🔥 Preparation Over Perfection

Having a plan helps, but flexibility is your superpower. Some of your best teaching moments will come from reading the room and adjusting on the fly.

3) 🔥 Confidence Comes from Action

The only way to feel more confident is to keep teaching. Every class you lead is a rep. Every student you help is proof you belong in that studio.

4) 🔥 You’re Already Enough

Seriously. The fact that you care about being a great teacher already puts you ahead of the game.

"Success isn’t about knowing everything—it’s about being open to learning, growing, and putting in the work."

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

So the next time you feel like you need ALL the answers to be legit?

Take a deep breath and remind yourself: You’re doing just fine.
